Cross-cultural communication made easy
UK meets NL – Ozone Business Network Meeting
25 & 26 March 2009, London
Networking at UK meets NL is cross-cultural communication made easy.
As business leaders from the Netherlands plan their descent on London’s Ludgate Hill for the next UK meets NL - Ozone Business Network Meeting, the organisers put the finishing touches to the programme. Scheduled for 25th and 26th March 2009, UK meets NL is an exciting alternative to traditional networking. Aimed at the promotion of Anglo-Dutch trade links, UK meets NL organisers hope to make cross-cultural communication easy.
“UK meets NL is the perfect opportunity to meet forward-thinking business executives interested in forging new Anglo-Dutch alliances,” comments Ilse van den Meijdenberg, director of English Services (Communications) BV and co-organiser. “This is a new cross-border initiative offering business networking to a Dutch and British audience. So far the response has been tremendous and we are expecting a good turnout.”
“Despite our close proximity and an uncanny affinity to the English language, some Dutch businesses still find it difficult to do business in the UK. International business is never easy, but we feel we have found a solution. Our events have been designed to give participants regular face-to-face meetings in combination with user-friendly virtual conferencing: an effective use of time and the opportunity to get to know UK counterparts that may otherwise be difficult to reach.”
This two-day event will start at 6pm on Wednesday 25th March at Maxwell Winward’s Ludgate Hill offices in central London. All eyes will be on James Saft, Reuters columnist and specialist in global economic and financial affairs, during his keynote speech Forever Blowing Bubbles. On Thursday 26th March, the Greyhound Pub in Kensington Square will be the venue for a full day of networking, follow-up meetings and company presentations. “We have chosen a stress-free venue for Thursday’s programme, where participants will have the opportunity to introduce their companies, products and services to an international audience. The location, the company and the pub food should be a recipe for a successful and enjoyable day of networking.” concludes Van den Meijdenberg.
